According to an Associated Press-NORC poll, a majority of Americans are worried that many will lose health care coverage under the Trump presidency if the Affordable Care Act is repealed. And very few want to see Obamacare repealed immediately according to the poll.
- 56 percent of Americans say that they are “extremely” or “very” worried that many Americans will lose health insurance if the law is repealed.
- 16 percent of respondents want the health care legislation repealed immediately.
- 53 percent say that Obamacare should be kept.
According to the AP-NORC Center, “Many elements of the health care law are popular, and the majority of Americans want to retain them in any replacement law Congress might pass.”
The survey was conducted among 1,036 adults via telephone between Jan. 12-16, 2017.
