Donald Trump Just Fired Acting Attorney General For Questioning Legality Of Muslim-Ban
The crisis grows. Donald Trump just fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates just hours after she said the Justice Department would not defend Trump’s executive order banning Muslims.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that Yates had been relieved of her duties.
Dana Boente who is the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia has been named as acting attorney general.
The Trump Administration called Yates,“weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.”
And Spicer said in a statement that acting Attorney General Yates had “betrayed the Department of Justice” by refusing to defend Donald Trump’s order.
