Ethics Lawyer Suggests Nordstrom Could Sue Trump For Twitter Attack
As we reported earlier, Trump took to Twitter this morning to complain how Nordstrom is no longer selling his daughter’s clothing line.
Well, it turns out that his Twitter attack on Nordstrom could land Trump in yet another lawsuit.
Mother Jones noted that Norm Eisen, who is the chair of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) board and a former White House ethics lawyer, explained that Trump’s tweet is grounds for a lawsuit.
Outrageous. @nordstrom, others injured should consider suing, incl. under CA Unfair Comp Law, forbidding “any unfair biz act.” I will help! https://t.co/Y18Lml3rXk

Trump keeps promising he will separate himself from his business, but continually proves that he is tied up in all those interests like a marionette. Also, ethics lawyers have repeatedly called Trump’s attempt at separating himself from his businesses before taking office insufficient.
In January, CREW filed a lawsuit against Trump for violating the Constitution on the grounds that he is receiving payments from foreign governments. Now he could be sued for his transparent conflict of interests.
