Almost 700 People Were Picked Up In Trump Deportation Raids
Last week news broke that the Trump administration was beginning it’s massive deportation efforts and today we found out that since last week almost 700 people have been picked up by the Trump administration.
According to the Huffington Post, the government has confirmed that over 680 people have been picked up in deportation raids since last week. The raids took place in the Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, San Antonio and New York City areas. And the Huffington Post noted that about 25% of those picked up had not committed any crimes which contradicts the Trump administrations claim that it would be prioritizing criminals and “dangerous” people.
Immigrant rights advocates have noted a clear increase in enforcement activities in the last few weeks.
