Donald Trump Thinks ‘Real Story’ Of Flynn Resignation Is Leaks Not Illegal Russia Talks
Donald Trump showed incredible tone deafness on Tuesday by saying that the “real story” of national security adviser Michael Flynn’s resignation was the “illegal leaks,” rather than the fact that Flynn lied to the White House and the public about his conversations with Russia.
“The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal with N.Korea etc?” Trump tweeted.

Flynn initially denied speaking with the Russian ambassador about sanctions, but he admitted this week after news reports confirmed that U.S. counterintelligence picked up the conversations.
Trump, of course, felt very different about leaks during the campaign when it as Hillary Clinton who was the subject of the leaks.
On Monday night, Flynn announced his resignation after a report showed that the White House had in fact been informed by acting attorney general Yates of Flynn’s potential compromise.
