WATCH: Counterintelligence Analyst Says Trump Aides ‘Need to Start Getting Lawyers and Cutting Deals’
Counterintelligence analyst Malcolm Nance said in an interview on MSNBC Tuesday that he thinks it’s time for Trump’s aides to lawyer up.
Nance said, “These people need to start getting lawyers and cutting deals because when we have both sides of the conversation, you are gonna get caught.”
He also reference the FISA warrant that is part of this investigation saying the warrant “authorized the NSA to turn on the full collection power of the United States…there is nothing that will escape that.”
Nance’s comments came after the New York Times reported that multiple Trump aides had been in regular contact with senior Russian intelligence officials during the campaign. The Times noted that the communication were picked up by U.S. intelligence officials who were intercepting Russian communications.
Nance is a former member of the NSA and is currently a counterterrorism and intelligence analyst for MSNBC.
