Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Now Down To 39 Percent
A new Pew poll found that Donald Trump’s job approval rating is down to 39 percent. The same poll also found that 56 percent of Americans disapprove Trump’s job performance.
Less than a month into his presidency, Trump’s disapproval rating is at a record high compared to recent presidents. As Conrad Hackett of Pew Research notes, Trump’s February disapproval rating is more than double any president since Reagan. President Obama’s disapproval rating during the same time period in his presidency was 17 percent. George W Bush’s disapproval was 21 percent. And so on.

Other numbers from the Pew poll:
- 59 percent of Americans think Donald Trump is not trustworthy
- 68 percent say Trump isn’t even tempered
- 63 percent say Donald Trump isn’t a good communicator
Here is how Americans compare Trump to the last few presidents:
As you can see, Americans think Trump is significantly less trustworthy, a worse communicator, less well informed, a worse communicator and less able to get things done than all his predecessors.
