WATCH: CNN’s Jake Tapper Slams Trump White House For Banning Press From Briefing
In one of his strongest criticisms yet of the Trump administration, CNN’s Jake Tapper slammed the White House for its decision today to ban several media outlets from participating in the press briefing.
Tapper said the Trump White House doesn’t want to be held accountable and is against checks and balances.
Tapper also called the Trump administration’s decision “petulant.”
The CNN host noted “Let’s not make any mistake about what’s happening here,” Tapper began. “A White House that has had some difficulty telling the truth and that has seemed to have trouble getting up to speed on the basic competent functioning of government, and a president who seems particularly averse to any criticism and has called the press ‘the enemies of the American people.’”
