Poll: Trump Approval Rating At Record Low For New Commander In Chief
A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has found that Donald Trump has a record low approval for a new Commander in Chief.
According to the poll, 48% of Americans disagree with Donald Trump’s job performance so far. Donald Trump’s approval rating is at 44% the new poll found.
When the poll compared Trump’s net negative rating of -4%. For a point of contrast, Presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton had a net positive rating of about 34%.
Here is how NBC explained it, “Trump begins his tenure in a dramatically less popular position than any of his predecessors. He is the only president in the history of modern polling to begin his first term with a net negative approval rating — and it’s not close. Compared to Trump’s net negative rating of -4 percent, Barack Obama began his presidency with a net positive 34 percent; George W. Bush and Bill Clinton enjoyed a similar advantage, and George H.W. Bush’s score of popular goodwill pushed even higher to a net positive of 45 percent.”
The poll also found that 32% of Americans think that Trump has shown since his inauguration that he is not up for the job.
The poll wasn’t conducted between February 18 and 22.
