WATCH: Vote Vets Releases Stinging Ad Putting Trump ‘On Notice’
In a stinging new ad, Vote Vets released a new ad saying they are putting Donald Trump ‘on notice.’ The groups said on their Facebook page that they will be buying air time on some of Trump’s favorite shows including Morning Joe and FOX and Friends.
In the ad, retired Rear Admiral Michael Smith says we’re putting President Trump on notice –we’re demanding the truth on his Russia ties. Admiral Smith calls for an independent investigation into the connection between the Trump campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The group also said, “Call your Representative and Senators, and tell them to support an Independent Investigatory Commission to get the truth. And please spread this ad around!”
The ad opens with retired Rear Admiral Michael Smith saying, as a Navy admiral I commanded a carrier strike group like this and swore to defend America. Now, I’m here to defend it again.”
Smith goes on to say, “President Trump, the CIA and the FBI both say Russia interfered in our election to help you. And we now know your campaign was in contact with them when it happened.”
“So, sir, we are putting you on notice. We’re demanding Speaker Ryan and Senator McConnell appoint an independent commission to get to get the answers.”
The ad closes with Smith saying, “Because defending America means finding the truth.”
