WATCH: Seth Meyers Ruins Trump’s Party
On Thursday night’s “A Closer Look” segment Seth Meyers examined how the revelation that Jeff Session lied during his Senate confirmation hearing.
Meyers pointed out that, as usual, it’s the Trump White House that finds a way to step on its own tail everytime things are going well. As Trump and Co basked in the glory of his speech to Congress, news broke that Sessions twice met with the Russian ambassador and lied about those meeting under oath to the Senate.
Meyers also noted that when news broke on Wednesday night, the White House and Sessions office sent out a series of contradictory statements that made the situation worse.
