McCain To Trump: You ‘Owe It” To American People To Prove Wiretap Claim
Senator John McCain on Monday called on Donald Trump to provide any evidence he might have to prove his wild claim that the Obama administration wiretapped him during the 2016 election.
“The American people need to know what evidence he has to make such a charge — that’s a serious charge,” McCain told NBC News.
McCain also told Reuters, “I think the president of the United States, if he has any information that would indicate that his predecessor wiretapped Trump Tower, then he should come forward with that information. The American people deserve it.”
News reports indicate that Donald Trump does not have any evidence to back up his claim because he found the story on a conservative news site with no evidence or back up.
