Maddow: Impossible To Believe Mike Pence On Flynn Story
On Friday’s show, Rachel Maddow reviewed the increasingly implausible explanations from the Trump administration about Michael Flynn and particularly Vice President Pence’s story about Flynn’s lobbying activity.
Maddow pointed out how Mike Pence’s claim that he only found out about Michael Flynn’s work as a foreign agent for Turkey when news broke this week just doesn’t hold up.
We now know that Flynn’s lawyers informed the Trump transition team that he may need to register as a foreign agent. And we also know that Congressman Elijah Cummings sent a letter to Mike Pence three months ago warning him that Flynn was doing lobbying work for Turkey.
Mike Pence was head of the Trump transition. So why is Vice President Pence saying he is just finding out about the issue?
As Rachel Maddow has pointed out, Mike Pence’s story just isn’t holding up.
