Monica Crowley was named by Donald Trump to a high-level national security position in his administration but a plagiarism scandal prevented that from happening. Now Crowley has a job lobbying on behalf of a pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch. Anyone, surprised?
Monica Crowley registered with the Justice Department’s National Security Division as a foreign agent for a Ukrainian steel magnate who has advocated more favorable positions towards Russia.
Crowley’s work “will include inviting government officials and other policy makers to attend conferences and meetings, such as the annual Munich Security Conference, to engage in learning and dialogue regarding issues of concern to Mr. Pinchuk,” according to a Justice Department filing.
Crowley was named by Trump to a position within the administration until CNN and others reported that she plagiarized large portions of her book and her Columbia University Ph.D. dissertation.
