Bipartisan Senate Intel Committee Confirms Trump Wiretap Claim Is False
The Bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, in a statement on Thursday rejected Donald Trump’s accusation that President Obama had Trump Tower wiretapped.
The head of the Senate Intelligence Committee Republican Richard Burr and Vice Chairman Mark Warner said that there is no evidence that the Obama administration “wiretapped” Trump Tower, according to a joint statement issued Thursday.
“Based on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016,” Senator Burr said.
