Flynn Received Payments From Multiple Russian Firms During The Campaign
According to new documents obtained by a House Oversight panel, Michale Flynn received payments from multiple Russian firms during the the 2016 campaign. Flynn worked for two Russian firms and Russian state-funded media outlet RT.
Flynn was receiving payments from these Russian firms while he continued to maintain top-secret security clearance.
As part of these payments Flynn received $11,250 from a Russian cybersecurity company, the Wall Street Journal notes.
Michael Flynn was fired from his position as National Security Adviser when it came to light that he had inappropriate conversation with the Russian ambassador and subsequently lied about those conversations.
According to The Hill, “Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are requesting an additional investigation into newly disclosed payments he received from Russia-based companies, sending a letter detailing the allegations to Trump and the leaders of the Pentagon and FBI.”
Michael Flynn received a total of $56,250 in payments from Russian firms during the campaign.
