Kellyanne Conway’s Husband Expected To Be Nominated to Justice Department’s Civil Division
According to the Wall Street Journey, George Conway, the husband of senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, is expected to be nominated to run the Justice Department’s civil division. If confirmed, he’ll be in charge of defending the Trump’s new Muslim ban as well as other lawsuits against the administration.
Conway is currently a partner at the firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. He was previously considered for the post of solicitor general, which argues before the Supreme Court.
Conway is a longtime GOP lawyer. He previously clerked for Judge Ralph Winter on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, according to his Wachtell Lipton biography. In the 1990s, he was on the legal team of some of the female accusers of President Bill Clinton.
