Jake Tapper Smacks Down Fox News On Twitter

CNN host Jake Tapper on Tuesday smacked down Fox News’s morning show Fox and Friends for downplaying FBI Director James Comey’s congressional testimony Monday during which he disclosed that the FBI is investigating the Trump campaign’s connections to the Russian government.

The “Fox & Friends” Twitter account earlier Tuesday suggested Comey’s appearance before the House Intelligence Committee wasn’t very consequential.

“If you missed yesterday’s congressional hearing with FBI Dir. James Comey, you didn’t miss much…,” the tweet reads.

Well Jake Tapper shut that down pretty quickly by saying, “False. Quite consequential. FBI confirmed it is investigating whether Trump campaign coordinated with Russia.”
