Trump Campaign Manager Hires Crisis Communications Firm
Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort has hired a crisis communications firm. The move by Manafort to hire a crisis communications firm comes one day after the FBI Director revealed the existence of a counter intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign for collusion with the Russian government.
Manafort has faced scruteny over his ties to Russian-linked groups including the pro-Russian former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.
According to the Hill Manafort’s new spokesperson Jason Maloni said, “Paul retained me recently because he was getting a lot of media inquiries. Having some support in this area allows folks like you to get your answers faster and allows him to focus on other matters.”
It was also reported that Manafort laundered $750,000 from the same pro-Russian Ukrainian political party that Yanukovych belonged to. Manafort is being accused of using offshore accounts in Belize and Kyrgystan to launder $750,000 from the party of the former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych who fled to Russia after being forced to leave office.
