Democrats Introduce Bill To Publish Mar-A-Lago Visitor Logs

A group of Senate Democrats are trying to force the Trump administration to publically release the visitor logs for the White House and Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private Florida resort.

On Friday, Senators Tom Udall, Sheldon Whitehouse, Tom Carper and Jack Reed introduced the Make Access Records Available to Lead Government Openness Act – or MAR-A-LAGO Act for short.

The Democrats bill would require the Trump administration to publish public visitor logs for the White House “or any other location where the President Trump regularly conducts official business.”

“It’s simple: the American people have a right to know who has access to the president and who has leverage over this administration,” Senator Udall said in a statement.

President Obama would release White House visitor logs about 3 months after the visits took place.
