Keith Ellison: ‘Don’t Gloat, Get Ready For Round 2’
After Republicans failed to pass their Obamacare replacement bill Friday, Congressman Keith Ellison implored his fellow Democrats not to “gloat.”
“Don’t gloat; get ready for round 2. Organize!,” Ellison tweeted on Friday.

“The only reason it failed is because a number of Republicans felt that it did not do enough damage,” Ellison said in a statement. However, they will try again. Democrats, grassroots activists, and millions of Americans who don’t want to lose their coverage must be ready to mobilize like never before.”
Ellison is also the Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party, a post he was named to following his narrow loss to Tom Perez in the race for DNC Chair.
And during a meeting of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Ellison said “We can’t just say it’s all about Trump.”
“We’ve got to have a higher vision than just winning an election,” he said. “When we set our sights as, really, agents and champions for the American people, people start feeling the flow.”
“We gotta lace up,” he said.
