Trump Son-In-Law Jared Kushner To Face Questions From Senate Intel Committee
As part of its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, the Senate Intelligence Committee will question Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
According to a New York Times report, the Senate Intel committee wants to question Kushner about meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
“Senate investigators plan to question Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a close adviser, as part of their broad inquiry into ties between Trump associates and Russian officials or others linked to the Kremlin, according to administration and congressional officials,” the Times reported Monday morning.
The Times reported that the White House was informed earlier this month about the potential for Kushner to be questioned about the Russia meetings.
Jared Kushner also met with Sergey Gorkov, who heads up Obama-sanctioned Vnesheconombank.
Last week, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the FBI is investigating collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian agents who interfered with the 2016 election.
