Democrat Jon Ossoff Announces $8.3M Fundraising Haul In Georgia House Race
National attention is paying off for Democrat Jon Ossoff.
The race to fill the empty Georgia Congressional seat formerly held by Tom Price has gained national attention. And Democrats have focused on that district as a chance to snag Republican seat. Democrat Jon Ossoff raised an eye-popping $8.3 million for his House campaign in a Georgia special election, according to a release from his campaign.C
That national attention is paying off for the Democrat in the race. Thursday Democrat Jon Ossoff announced that he raised $8.3million for the Georgia special election. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 95 percent of Ossoff’s donations came from out of state.
Ossoff is hoping to get of the 50 percent mark in the April 18 special election in order to avoid a runoff election.
A recently released poll found that Ossoff has a staggering lead.
