Nancy Pelosi Calls Trump’s Bluff On Obamacare Funding
The Democratic Minority Leader says Obamacare funding is not optional.
In response to Donald Trump’s threat not to include Obamacare funding in the upcoming government funding resolution, Nancy Pelosi blasted Trump’s threat saying “must be included.”
And Democrats are signaling that the Obamacare funding is non-negotiable for them in the budget negotiations setting up a potential government shutdown.
An aide to Nancy Pelosi said, “The President’s comments on stopping the Cost Sharing Reduction payments will increase costs, is a threat to the good health of the American people and a threat to keeping government open.”
Pelosi and Senat Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer are in agreement that the Obamacare payments must be including in upcoming spending bill.
Republicans will likely need Democratic votes to keep the government funded and prevent a shutdown.
