Bill O’Reilly Officially Fired From Fox News
Bill O’Reilly has officially been fired from Fox News.
CNBC was first to report the story after obtaining a statement from Fox News. “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” the company said.
Dozens of brands pulled their advertising from Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News show after a New York Times report that found that Fox News and Bill O’Reilly had secretly paid out over $13 million to settle sexual harassment claims.
Tuesday night The Wall Street Journal reported that “Fox News is preparing to cut ties with its biggest star, Bill O’Reilly, according to people close to the situation.” The Wall Street Journal report came at the same time that CNN reported that the announcement about Bill O’Reilly “was likely by the end of the week.”
