73 Percent Of Americans Want An Independent Investigation On Russia
Is that all?!
Just about three-quarters of Americans say they want an independent, non-partisan commission to investigate Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, instead of Congress, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
The poll found that 73 percent of respondents say they prefer the independent investigation, compared to just 16 percent who pick Congress.
And a strong majority of Americans, however, believe that Congress should investigate whether there was contact between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. The NBC News poll found that 54 percent of Americans want Congress

And 61 percent of Americans say that they have little to no confidence that Congress can conduct a fair and impartial investigation into Russia’s election involvement.
The NBC News poll confirming the American people want an independent investigation comes as multiple reports indicate that that the Senate Intel Committee’s Russia investigation is floundering.
The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted April 17-20 of 900 adults, including more than 400 who were reached via cell phone. The poll has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.3 percentage points.
