VoteVets Calls Donald Trump ‘Chickenhawk Draft Dodger’ In New Video
If @realDonaldTrump had 1 oz of presidential leadership, he’d simply say “thank you” to a #PurpleHeart recipient – not “congratulations.” pic.twitter.com/4BkPHPJqy9

Iraq War veteran slams Trump for congratulating injured soldier on his Purple Heart.
In a new video posted to their Twitter account, VoteVets takes Donald Trump to task for his recent botched visit to Walter Reed Medical Center. During his visit, Trump was awarding a wounded solder the Purple Heart medal and rather than thanking the soldier for his service, Trump congratulated him on getting injured.
“Congratulations? Really, Donald?”
“Maybe if you had an ounce of presidential leadership. Maybe if you had one cell of integrity in your body. Maybe if you weren’t a chickenhawk draft dodger,” the veteran said directly into the camera.
“Instead of looking at that man and saying congratulations, you’d have been appropriate,” he continued. “You’d have taken a knee. You’d have looked him in the eye…and you’d have simply said, ‘Thank you.'”
