Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Is In The Toilet Among Millennials: Poll
Donald Trump’s approval rating among young Americans is even lower than his historically low ratings among all Americans.
Donald Trump has a historically low approval rating for any president at this point in their presidency, but a new poll finds that young Americans are even more critical of Trump.
The poll found that Donald Trump’s job approval among Americans under 30 is just 32 percent and a striking 66 percent of Americans under 30 disapprove of Donald Trump’s job performance.
But it’s not just Donald Trump’s job performance that young Americans don’t like, they also seem to hate his policies.
A majority of Americans under 30 disapprove of Donald Trump on most major issues:
- 59 percent disapprove of Trump on the economy
- 66 percent disapprove of Donald Trump on health care
- 70 percent disapprove Trump’s handling of race relations
- 68 percent say they disapprove of Donald Trump on climate change
- 64 percent disapprove of Donald Trump on handling ISIS
Young Americans also strongly disapprove of Donald Trump’s use of Twitter, with 68 percent saying the President’s use of Twitter is mostly not appropriate for the office.
About the poll: The Harvard University Institute of Politics Survey of Young Americans’ Attitudes Toward Politics and Public Service examines beliefs of Americans ages 18 to 29. The poll surveyed 2,654 respondents and has a margin of error of +/– 2.7 percent.
