Flynn Didn’t Report Foreign Payments, ‘No Evidence’ He Complied With The Law
Congressman Elijah Cummings calls classified documents reviewed relating to Micael Flynn “extremely troubling.”
Congressmen Jason Chaffetz and Elijah Cummings held a press conference on Tuesday to discuss their investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s failure to report income from Russia.
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn likely broke the law by failing to disclose foreign income he earned from Russia and Turkey, the heads of the House Oversight Committee said Tuesday during their press conference.
Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz and ranking member Elijah Cummings indicated that they believe that Flynn not only didn’t receive permission for the payments but also didn’t disclose the income, likely breaking the law.
It’s been reported that Flynn received payments from Russia and Turkey but failed to report that information on his application to renew his security clearance.
The congressmen suggested that Flynn violated the law by accepting then failing to disclose the payments saying there is “no evidence” that Flynn complied with the law.

“We received a response from the White House refusing to provide any of the documents we requested,” Cummings said at the press conference. “The White House has refused to offer a single piece of paper in response to this committee’s bipartisan request.”
“This is a major problem,” Cummings said.
