Sally Yates Will (Finally) Testify At Senate Russia hearing On May 8
It’s about damn time.
At long last, former acting attorney general Sally Yates will testify on May at a Senate hearing regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Yates will testify before a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee.
Former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will also be testifying in front of the Senate Committee. Sally Yates was fired by Donald Trump earlier this year after she refused to defend his Muslim-ban. That Muslim-ban was later blocked in court.

Yates had been scheduled to testify in front of the House Committee before the Committee’s then chairman Devin Nunes abruptly canceled the hearing. Nunes has since stepped down and is under an ethics investigation for revealing classified information.
The Washington Post reported in April that the White House sought to block Yates from testifying.
Yates is also scheduled to testify in front of the House Intel Committee on May 2.
