Hillary Clinton Launching PAC To Support The Resistance
Hillary Clinton joins the RESISTANCE!
Hillary Clinton said during an interview Tuesday that she is back to being an “activist citizen and a member of the resistance.” And today we learn that Clinton is planning to launch and political action committee to act as a “quiet catalyst” for the organizations she cares about.
Axios reported Wednesday that the PAC will also help assist Democrats in the 2018 campaign. The PAC is meant to work with the organizations that were created after the election of Donald Trump as well as existing organizations.
And according to the report, Clinton has already met with some groups to discuss plans.
Axios reported that “the initial focus will be on lifting up organizations that are the product of the energy and activism she has seen since the election, and existing groups that have been reignited and reinvigorated by that energy. She has met with some of these groups, and it’s something she’s become increasingly passionate about with each meeting, the source said.”
During her interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour Clinton took responsibility for the election loss but also noted that she was on her way to winning when FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress announcing that he was reopening the investigation into her emails. Clinton also noted Russia’s actions to help Trump win the election as part of the reason for her loss.
