Eric Trump In 2014: ‘We Have All The Funding We Need Out Of Russia’
Follow the money!!!
In yet more evidence of deep financial ties between Trump businesses and Russia, a newly unearthed interview with Eric Trump from 2014 confirms that Trump projects are financed by Russian money.
The Hill reported Sunday that in a 2014 interview with Donald and Eric Trump, the younger Trump admitted that financing for Trump projects coming from Russia.
During an interview Friday with Boston’s WBUR, James Dodson discussed a meeting with Donald Trump and Eric Trump in 2014 at Trump National Golf Club Charlotte.
Dodson said he asked Donald Trump how he was paying for his golf course projects. And Donald Trump responded by dismissing the question he had “access to $100 million” Dodson recounted.
Dodson then said that when he questioned Eric Trump the same question about which banks were financing golf courses in the aftermath of the Great Recession, Eric Trump responded by confirming their financing was coming from Russia.
Here is the key exchange reported in The Hill:
“I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years,’” the writers told WBUR.
“And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’”
