Republican Senator calls for investigation into Trump business ties to Russia and wants to see his tax returns.
In a major break in the Trump-Russia scandal, CNN reported Tuesday morning that Republican Senator Lindsey Graham wants to investigate Donald Trump’s business ties to Russia. The report comes after former director of national intelligence James Clapper suggested that he couldn’t answer a question about Trump’s business ties to Russia because it was the subject of an active investigation.
Graham told CNN he wants to probe Trump’s business ties to Russia and that he would first start by seeing if and how the FBI was conducting an investigation of the president’s foreign business dealings before launching a congressional investigation.
Graham also wants to see Trump’s tax returns but is not yet ready to subpoena them.
