Former Employees Say Donald Trump Regularly Taped Conversations
Donald Trump has a long history of secretly recording conversations.
Ever since Donald Trump seemed to threaten the former FBI Director with tapped conversations, Washington D.C. has been buzzing with Nixon comparisons. Some have pointed out the strong possibility that Donald Trump merely raised the subject to distract from the actual firing and stories about Trump demanding a loyalty oath from Comey.
Whatever the truth is about the supposed Comey tapes, Donald Trump does have a long documented history of recording conversations according to many who worked for him.
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that “Trump sometimes taped phone conversations with associates and others from his Trump Tower office in New York, according to three people who say they have direct knowledge of the recordings.”
The report quoted one former Trump employee as saying “He recorded virtually everything in the office.”
“I know many of my conversations when I called him were recorded before and after I was working there.”
During an interview on ABC Sunday morning the Senate Intel Committee’s top Democrat Mark Warner said, “First of all, we’ve got to make sure that these tapes, if they exist, don’t mysteriously disappear, so I’ve asked, others have asked, to make sure the tapes are preserved, if they exist.”
