At the beginning of her show Tuesday night, Rachel Maddow broke the news that there has been a new subpoena issued in the Trump-Russia scandal. According to Maddow’s reporting, the subpoena was issued in relation to the mysterious loan that Donald Trump’s campaign manager received in the days after leaving the campaign.
According to NBC News, “Federal investigators have subpoenaed records related to a $3.5 million mortgage that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort took out on his Hamptons home just after leaving the campaign, according to a source familiar with the matter.”
Manafort received a $3.5 million loan from a bank connected to both Trump and Russia immediately following his departure from the Trump campaign.
