Source Of Intelligence Trump Leaked To Russia Was Israel
The crisis over Donald Trump’s disclosure of highly classified intelligence to the Russians just took another turn for the worse.
According to a new report in the New York Times, which has also been confirmed by NBC News, the source of the highly classified intelligence was provided to the United States by Israel.
The New York Times report that “The classified intelligence that President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to the episode.”
It goes without saying that Israel is one our most important allies and sources of intelligence. Now that it has been confirmed that Israel was the source, the next concern is that Israel’s source could be compromised and shared by the Russians to the Iranians and Syrians.
According to a report by the Washington post on Monday, Donald Trump revealed highly classified intelligence information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador during a meeting in the Oval office last week.
Current and former U.S. officials told the Washington Post that Donald Trump shared information from a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
