Vast Majority Of Americans Disapprove Trump’s Handling Of FBI Investigation: Poll
A new poll has some pretty devastating findings for Donald Trump when it comes to his handling of the FBI’s investigation of Trump-Russia.
The vast majority of Americans, 63 percent, disapprove of Trump’s handling of the federal probe. While just 37 percent of Americans say that they approve his handling.
The findings track very closely with Trump’s overall job approval numbers which are at record lows.
The CBS poll also found that 85 percent of Americans believe that the Trump discussed the FBI investigation in private meetings with Comey.
And Americans don’t view Trump’s interference kindly, 58 percent of Americans say that if Trump did try to stop the investigation, that would be a disqualifying act.
The RESISTANCE is growing
The CBS poll also found that resistance to Trump is growing considerably. According to the poll, 40 percent of Americans are strong against Trump – resisters represent the largest segment of the country.
The poll notes a significant uptick in the number of “resisters” since March “driven mostly by people who were formerly curious.”
According to the poll, “These new resisters are also much less confident in Trump’s abilities and his telling the truth, and more concerned about alleged ties between Trump and Russia and critical of Trump’s handling of the FBI investigation.”
