Congressional Budget Office: Republican Plan Still Horrible
According to the new analysis of the Republican Obamacare repeal bill by the Congressional Budget Office, 23 million will lose their health insurance if the bill becomes law.
The new analysis confirms that the bill that House Republicans passed is in fact even worse than earlier versions of the bill.
The previous CBO analysis found that 24 million lose their insurance over 1o years, the new bill would be slightly better with 23 million losing insurance.
The news from the CBO makes the job of Senate Republicans, who are currently working on their version of the health care bill, even harder.
And in terms of the deficit, the Republican plan would reduce the U.S. budget deficit by $119 billion, which is $32 billion less than the original bill proposed in March.
