Maddow Says Rogers Ailes Once Offered Her A Job At Fox News, With A Catch
During an interview Thursday with Howard Stern, Rachel Maddow made a surprising revelation about the former Fox News chief who died last week.
Stern asked Maddow if she would have ever considered working for Ailes at Fox. Maddow’s response was surprising – Ailes once offered her a job.
Maddow, who surprised people after Ailes’s death by saying she had a friendly relationship him and considered him a mentor, told Stern “He once told me that he wanted to hire me at Fox and then he told me he would never put me on air.”
Maddow even noted that the job offer occurred only a few years ago.
