Boris Epshteyn, Former Trump Aide, Is Also Caught In The Russia Investigation

Another (Yes, Another) Trump Aide Just Caught Up In Russia Investigation.

On Tuesday, we found out that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been subpoenaed in Congress’s Russia investigation. And now we learn that another close Trump aide is also on the list of Trump associates that Congress is looking into.

According to a CBS News report, “Former Trump surrogate Boris Epshteyn is on a list of people that the House Intelligence Committee wants to hear from as part of its probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and ties between the Russian government and Trump associates.”

Boris Epshteyn abruptly left his position at the White House in March to join Sinclair Broadcast Group, an organization that has consistently been favorable to Donald Trump.

Cohen and Epshteyn are both on a list of about 20 names of Trump associates that the congressional committee wants to interview and will likely request documents from.

And according to the CBS News report, the list of 20 is just an initial round and will likely grow.

After Trump’s personal lawyer announced Tuesday that he would not be cooperating with the congressional request, the committee responded by formally issuing Cohen a subpoena.
