Donald Trump’s Communications Director Just Resigned
A Major White House Official Just Resigned.
Donald Trump’s communications director Mike Dubke has resigned. Dubke’s ouster is likely the beginning of a major staff overhaul for a White House that is embroiled in a growing Russia scandal.
There have been weeks of reporting and insider speculation about a staff shake-up for the Trump White House.
Dubke had only been on the job for three months before tendering his resignation. Dubke offered to remain in his position to help manage communications during Donald Trump’s overseas trip, and Trump accepted.
His last day has not yet been determined.
Dubke’s resignation was first reported by Axios’s Mike Allen.
According to Axios, “Insiders say Dubke came in with few patrons, and never gelled with the originals. His departure is a reminder of how hard it is for newcomers to thrive in Trumpland.”
For weeks, there have been news reports of a major staff shake-up in the Trump White House and now Axios is also reporting that “Trump met yesterday with two top officials from his campaign, Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, about joining the crisis-communications war room he’s setting up.”
