California Governor Jerry Brown Blasts Trump Over Paris Decision
Calfornia Governor Jerry Brown released a statement ahead of Donald Trump’s announcement that the United States would be pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord blasting the decision.
Brown, who is the longest-serving governor in California history, called Trump’s decision “unfortunate possibly even tragic.”
Governor Brown issued a statement saying, “Donald Trump has absolutely chosen the wrong course. He’s wrong on the facts. America’s economy is boosted by following the Paris Agreement. He’s wrong on the science. Totally wrong.”
“California will resist this misguided and insane course of action. Trump is AWOL but California is on the field, ready for battle,” Brown continued.

California has both the largest economy and population of any state in the United States and has been a decades-long leader in the clean energy technology.
California has also set the national standard for environmental protection.
