US Ambassador To China Resigns Over Trump’s Paris Climate Decision

Donald Trump’s Paris Climate Decision Is Having Real World Diplomatic Consequences.  

The acting United States ambassador to China has resigned over Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement.

The news was first reported by CNN which noted that Ambassador David Bank, who is a career foreign service officer, would be resigning.

Bank has been in the foreign service officer since 1990.

According to CNN, the State Department said that “Mr. Rank made a personal decision. We appreciate his years of dedicated service to the State Department.”

Donald Trump announced last week that the United States would withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.

The American people, by a 2 to 1 margin, oppose Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the climate deal.
