Jon Ossoff Just Set A Fundraising Record

Georgia congressional candidate Jon Ossoff announced a massive fundraising haul in the tightly contested race to fill the open Georgia congressional seat left open by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

Ossoff has raised a total of $23 million, setting a new fundraising record.

Prior to April 18, Ossoff had raised about $8.3 million.

And during the last two months, Ossoff raised $15 million in the last two months.

The race has gained national attention and has become the most expensive House race in history with major spending by outside groups.

The district has traditionally be a solid Republican seat but Ossoff has shown a strong possibility of winning. The runoff election will be held on June 20.

During a debate this week Ossoff’s opponent came under fire for admitting that she does not support a living wage.

A recent poll found Ossoff with a narrow one point lead over Republican Karen Handel.
