Trump Just Hired Another Lawyer For The Russia Investigation
Donald Trump Is Clearly Worried About The Russia Investigation.
Donald Trump has hired another attorney to join his legal team.
Trump is facing multiple congressional investigations as well as the special counsel investigation into obstruction of justice.
Trump has hired John Dowd, a veteran Washington DC lawyer. Mr. Dowd will join Trump’s legal team run by Marc Kasowitz, who has been a longtime attorney for Trump.
Dowd’s previous high-profile work includes leading the Major League Baseball investigation into Pete Rose and representing Senator John McCain in the congressional ethics charges during the “Keating Five” investigation.
Trump has had a hard time finding high-profile Washington DC criminal defense lawyers to join his legal team. A recent report revealed that multiple lawyers turned down the opportunity to work for Trump out of a range of fears including that Trump wouldn’t pay his legal bills or follow instructions from attorneys not to publically comment on the investigation.
Other Trump associates have also started hiring lawyers in the Russia case including Vice President Mike Pence and Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
The Washington Post report this week that Special Counsel Mueller is investigation Donald Trump for obstruction of justice.
