Republicans Refusing To Join Trump Administration Fearing Reputational Damage

Trump Is So Toxic Rank And File Republicans Are Refusing High-Level White House Jobs.

The chaos and growing scandals surrounding the Trump White House are not only impeding Donald Trump policy agenda, they also seem to be getting in the way of his ability to hire staff.

According to a new report by the Washington Post, at least 27 Republicans who have been considered for jobs in the White House have sought advice over concerns that working for Donald Trump would cause damage to their reputation.

The Republicans told the Washington Post that they have turned down White House job offers and reached out to head-hunters out of reputational concerns.

The report that rank and file Republicans are turning down White House jobs comes as the Trump White House tries to deal with the rapidly expanding investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as a new report that the Special Counsel is investigating Trump personally for obstruction of justice. “Republicans say they are turning down job offers to work for a chief executive whose volatile temperament makes them nervous,” The Washington Post confirms.

The Washington Post quotes a former senior Energy Department official saying,  “Trump is becoming radioactive, and it’s accelerating.”

“‘He just threw Jeff Sessions under the bus,’ Valdez continued. ‘If you’re working with a boss who doesn’t have your back, you have no confidence in working with that individual.'”

The Washington Post report confirms that the Trump administration is having trouble filling basic positions in the administration. The Trump administration has been called out for the glacial pace at which it is nominating high-level political positions.

The White House, of course, disputes these claims.

“I have people knocking down my door to talk to the presidential personnel office,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer told the Washington Post. “There is a huge demand to join this administration.”
