President Obama’s Approval Rating Eclipses Trumps
New Poll Confirms Americans Miss Obama.
A new Gallup poll released Monday found that former President Barack Obama’s approval rating has continued to climb since he left office.
According to Gallup, 63 percent of Americans approve of Obama.
Obama saw a sharp increase in popularity during his final months in office.
Obama’s highest approval rating in the Gallup poll came during his first term with an approval rating of 69 percent.
According to Gallup, “Obama is viewed favorably by all major demographic groups, including men, women, whites, nonwhites and all age categories.”
Among Democrats, Obama has an approval rating of 95 percent.
Donald Trump’s approval rating currently sits around 40 percent.
George W Bush is also seeing an increase in popularity
It seems that Donald Trump isn’t just causing Americans to miss Obama, he’s also making people miss George W Bush.
Bush has seen as 7 point increase in his approval rating since July 2016.
About the poll: Results for this Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted June 7-11, 2017, with a random sample of 1,009 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. For results based on the total sample of national adults, the margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. All reported margins of sampling error include computed design effects for weighting.
