The polls in South Carolina close at 7 pm Eastern.
South Carolina’s special election has largely flown under the radar while national attention has focused on the Georgia special election between Jon Ossoff and Karen Handel.
In South Carolina’s 5th congressional district Republican Ralph Norman is expected to beat Democrat Archie Parnell.
The seat was left open when Mick Mulvaney joined the Trump administration as director of the Office of Management and Budget.
