Trump Approval Rating At All Time Low In New CBS News Poll
Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit a new low in the CBS News poll released Tuesday.
Specifically, it is Trump’s handling of the Russia investigation is pulling down his approval rating.
The CBS News poll found Donald Trump approval rating to be 36 percent, the lowest rating in CBS News polls since he became president.
The CBS News poll found that 63 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the Russia investigation.
According to the poll, one-third of Americans now say Trump’s approach to the Russia investigations has made their opinion of him worse.
And a majority of Americans, 56 percent, think the Special Counsel investigation will be impartial.
Americans don’t think Trump is concerned with protecting the country from Russia
According to the CBS News poll, “By a margin of more than two-to-one, Americans think Donald Trump is more interested in protecting his administration from investigation (64 percent) than protecting the United States from Russian interference (30 percent).”
Even one-third of Republicans believe Trump is more concerned about himself than the country.
About the poll: This poll was conducted by telephone June 15-18, 2017 among a random sample of 1,117 adults nationwide.
