New Poll Finds Even Less Support For Republican Health Bill
Support for Republican health bill just got even lower.
Just 16 percent of Americans think the Republican health bill is a good idea.
According to a brand new poll by NBC News, support for the Republican health care bill is dropping fast.
In May, 23 percent said they thought the bill was a good idea. But in the new poll, that number is down to 16 percent of Americans saying the GOP bill is a good idea.
As the chart above shows, by a 3 to 1 margin, Americans have a negative view of the Republican health care bill.
Notably, even Republicans are not thrilled by the GOP bill with just 34 percent saying it’s a good idea.
Support of Obamacare is much higher than GOP plan
The NBC poll also found that support for Obamacare is significantly higher than support for the Republican plan. Obamacare gets positive marks by 41 percent with 38 percent rating it negatively.
“This is the third-straight NBC/WSJ poll of 2017 in which Obamacare is viewed more positively than negatively,” NBC notes.
About the poll: The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted June 17-20 of 900 adults, and which has an overall margin of error of plus-minus of 3.3 percentage points.
